Join one of the world's leading music companies - home to some of the most iconic artists, labels and creative teams on the planet - as they build out a brand-new Cloud & Technology Operations team in Sydney CBD.

Talent International is partnering with this global organisation to support the expansion of their Cloud & Technology Operations function in Australia.

This is a true BAU CloudOps role - hands-on, operational, and focused on keeping environments stable, secure and running smoothly. You'll be part of a global follow-the-sun model, working closely with teams across Australia, the UK and the US, acting as mission control when things break - not project managing from the sidelines.

You'll help establish strong operational baselines first, then gradually influence how systems can be made faster, more resilient and more scalable over time.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on CloudOps and infrastructure support across AWS-led environments
• Troubleshoot, resolve and own BAU operational issues end-to-end
• Work tickets through to resolution in a calm, structured way under pressure
• Build deep understanding of the existing infrastructure architecture and tooling
• Collaborate with global CloudOps, SRE, DevOps, Network and Systems teams
• Contribute ideas to improve reliability, automation and operational efficiency
• Support a small but growing Sydney-based operations team as it scales
• Spend ~10-15% of time contributing to improvement initiatives once the baseline is stable

Required Skills & Experience

• ~5 years' experience in a CloudOps, Infrastructure Ops or Technical Operations role
• Strong operational mindset - BAU, incident response and troubleshooting
• Proven experience working in high-pressure ops environments
• Strong hands-on experience with AWS (enterprise environments preferred)
• Background working alongside SRE, DevOps, Systems or Network teams
• Comfortable working tickets, not just projects
• Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate across regions and time zones
• Flexible, adaptable and open to new ways of working

Team & Structure

• ~10-person global team across CloudOps, SRE, Database, Systems, Network and Identity
• Sydney-based team currently being built from scratch
• Reporting into an experienced Tech Ops leader with strong global exposure
• High autonomy and influence (trusted operator rather than decision-maker)

Working Pattern & Flexibility

• Standard 8-hour days
• Weekend work required (office-based), not on-call
• Weekend rotation approximately every 60 days
• Always two consecutive days off
• 4.5-day week equivalent, including:
• One nominated half-day working from home
• Flexibility on which weekday this is
• Clear acknowledgement of work-life balance challenges, structured to avoid burnout
