Data Scientist | Strategy, Culture & AI | Insights & GenAI | Dusseldorf (Hybrid)

AI Futures have been exclusively retained to appoint a Data Scientist for a leading creative-led organisation operating at the intersection of data, culture, strategy, and AI. In this role, you will help shape how data is transformed into insight-driven creative strategy, enabling brands to identify cultural trends, tensions, and opportunities with real-world impact.

You will embed advanced analytics, machine learning, and generative AI into strategic and creative workflows, working closely with strategy and creative teams to translate complex data into clear narratives, directions, and briefs. This role blends hands-on technical work with high-level strategic influence, sitting firmly between data engineering, insight generation, and creative strategy.

Hybrid: 2 days per week onsite in Dusseldorf

Remuneration: Up to €110k total package

The Role

• Translate complex datasets into actionable insights, creative directions, and compelling stories.
• Identify cultural patterns, trends, and tensions within data to inform brand and communication strategy.
• Partner closely with strategy and creative teams to produce data-led creative briefs.
• Apply AI and ML techniques (e.g. LLMs, NLP, clustering) to uncover insights and emerging trends.
• Design and build data-to-strategy frameworks, dashboards, semantic models, and experimental tools.
• Champion the use of data across the organisation, ensuring it delivers meaning, relevance, and inspiration.

The Candidate

• 3+ years’ experience in data, AI or insights (ideally in a creative, media, or brand-focused environment).
• Strong skills in Python and SQL (R a plus), APIs, and data visualisation tools such as Tableau or Power BI.
• Solid understanding of machine learning, NLP, and generative AI concepts and applications.
• Strong intuition for brands, communication, pop culture, and creative processes.
• Clear communicator able to explain complex ideas simply and creatively.
• Languages: German (English a bonus).
