We work on a project basis (in the EU and beyond), to this day we have already implemented over 320 projects and currently, we are working on another 45 projects. WHAT WE DO

We are set up to provide our customers with end-to-end support in the process of developing software solutions:

• Business need analysis, design of functional and non-functional requirements, system analysis, support for business transformation and IT/business consultancy;
• User interface and experience design and development for mobile and desktop applications;
• Front and back-end development in a wide range of technologies: Java, .NET, Ruby, GoLang, Oracle, Python.
• Complete Data Warehouse solutions from architecture, design and implementation using mainly Vertica, Oracle and Microsoft platforms.
• Avalanche has been the central counterparty for multiple major banking projects in the Scandinavia and Baltics, in areas such as lending automation, regulatory reporting and calculations, integrations, governance, risk and compliance, Basel II/III, Stress Testing, AML/KYC.

You will be working on core banking services that power customer experiences, analytics, and downstream digital platforms. This means designing and developing highly reliable backend services, building event-driven integrations, maintaining data models, and ensuring secure, compliant, enterprise-grade delivery.

You will work hands-on with Java, Spring, Kafka, Docker, and Oracle - engineering services that handle large-scale data, integrate across multiple domains, and are essential to how the bank operates. System design, performance troubleshooting, and observability will be your daily game.

You will be collaborating closely with POs, BAs, Architects, and Engineers in an Agile setup, using modern engineering practices and clear documentation standards.

DO YOU HAVE...

🌟 5+ years of Java (JVM, Java 8+) with strong debugging and performance skills.

🌟 3+ years with Spring Boot (Data, MVC, Security).

🌟 REST API design experience with solid versioning and documentation.

🌟 Oracle DB skills (SQL, PL/SQL, tuning, indexing).

🌟 Kafka experience (producers, consumers, partitions, offsets).

🌟 Experience with Docker for containerized services.

🌟 System design understanding (service boundaries, integrations, data models).

🌟 Working knowledge of HTML5, JavaScript, jQuery, and XSL.

🌟 Agile team experience and strong communication with business and tech stakeholders.

ARE YOU WILLING TO...

✨ Work on-site in Vilnius at the client's office at least 3 days per week, collaborating closely with the team.

✨ Design, develop, and maintain backend services using Java, Spring, Kafka, Docker, and Oracle.

✨ Translate business requirements into secure, reliable, and scalable technical solutions.

✨ Review, test, and document code, ensuring consistency and shared understanding across the team.

✨ Partner with POs and BAs, clarifying requirements, refining acceptance criteria, and ensuring correct delivery.

✨ Maintain enterprise-grade security, compliance, and data protection in all engineering work.

✨ Troubleshoot, debug, and improve service performance, reliability, and observability.

✨ Collaborate in an Agile workflow, contributing to planning, refinement, and team decision-making.
