DevOps Engineer

We are looking for one of our customers (in Luxembourg) a DevOps engineer

Tasks to be performed

The successful achievement of the objectives of the Assignment involves the following tasks:

• Change, Incident, Problem, and Deployment and Release management
• Set up and maintain customer release deployment processes
• Act asa coordinator in IT Service Management processes
• Packaging and documenting releases according to customer policies
• Support activities
• Take requests/issues’ ownership and act as the Single Point of Contact towards IT users, and if applicable GDO/BSD/LD division
• Review and make proposals to improve and automate the execution of tasks
• Produce, Review, and Update Operational documentation
• Assist inthe problem Root Cause Analysis investigation
• Set up and maintain applications and tools at all technical levels
• Use DEVOPS tools for CI/CD process

The staff member must demonstrate knowledge in:

• Software development methodologies and release management in a DevOps environment
• ITIL best practices
• Sybase and Oracle databases
• Scripting languages (Unix bash, Groovy, or equivalent)
• Programming languages (Python, Java, or equivalent)
• Web applications (Tomcat, nginx, Apache)
• Code versioning system (GitHub, Azure DevOps)

The staff member must demonstrate competence in:

• Release management
• Release planning
• Reporting progress, risks and issues
• Incident management
• Analysis
• Risk impact assessment
• Follow-up and coordination
• OS (Linux/ Windows system performance monitoring and debugging)
• Middleware JBOSS EAP or equivalent
• Sybase, Oracle SQL
• GitHub, Nexus, Jenkins, Sonar, Jira, Azure DevOps, Ansible
• Written and verbal communication in English
• Coordination, cooperation.
