A great opportunity for a Quality Engineer to be working with a world known brand in the financial services space.
We are seeking a meticulous and skilled Quality Engineer (QE) to join their testing team. This role focuses on ensuring the delivery of high-quality software through rigorous manual testing practices, while leveraging basic automation skills to enhance the testing process. The ideal candidate will possess strong manual testing expertise with a keen eye for detail and a willingness to grow in automation testing.
Key Responsibilities:
Manual Testing:
- Execute functional, regression, integration, and user acceptance testing (UAT).
- Create detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test cases and test plans.
- Document and report defects with clear steps to reproduce and collaborate with developers for resolution.
Automation Basics:
- Understand and execute basic automation scripts for repetitive test cases.
- Assist in maintaining existing automation scripts using tools like Playwright, Protractor, or Selenium (good to have).
Collaboration:
- Work closely with development, product management, and other QA team members to ensure clear understanding of requirements.
- Participate in sprint planning and review meetings to identify potential testing requirements early.
Tools and Processes:
- Utilize tools like Jenkins for basic CI/CD pipeline operations and BrowserStack for cross-browser testing.
- Contribute to improving test processes and methodologies within the team.
Must-Have Skills:
- Strong expertise in manual testing with a focus on functional and regression testing.
- Basic understanding of test automation principles and tools like Playwright or Selenium.
- Familiarity with defect tracking tools (e.g., JIRA) and test management systems.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Good-to-Have Skills:
- Hands-on experience with tools like Jenkins, Protractor, or BrowserStack.
- Basic scripting experience in any programming language (e.g., JavaScript, Python, or Java).
- Knowledge of cross-browser and device testing practices.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- 2+ years of experience in software testing with a focus on manual testing.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills with attention to detail.
