About the Role

We are seeking a Network Operations Engineer – Advanced L2 to join our dynamic global IT team. In this role, you will ensure the stability, security, and high performance of our enterprise network infrastructure. You will act as a key player in incident response, proactive monitoring, change execution, and collaboration with engineering and vendor teams.

The ideal candidate is hands-on with complex enterprise networks, possesses strong troubleshooting skills, and thrives in a fast-paced, global environment.


Job Title: Network Operations Engineer – Advanced L2

Location: Warsaw, Poland (3 days hybrid)

Employment Type: Permanent


Key Responsibilities

  • Network Monitoring & Support: Maintain and monitor global enterprise network infrastructure including WAN, LAN, WLAN, VPN, Internet, and Cloud connectivity.
  • Incident Management: Respond to network incidents and outages promptly, ensuring minimal business impact. Communicate clearly with stakeholders regarding status and resolution.
  • Root Cause Analysis: Perform detailed investigations and drive long-term corrective actions in collaboration with engineering and vendor teams.
  • Change Execution: Implement network changes with proper planning, risk assessment, and validation, including configuration updates, software upgrades, and hardware maintenance.
  • Documentation: Maintain up-to-date network documentation, topology diagrams, and operational procedures.
  • Network Optimization: Analyze network performance using tools like SevOne, Grafana, SolarWinds, or NetMRI; identify areas for improvement and assist in capacity planning.
  • Vendor Coordination: Work closely with service providers to resolve connectivity or performance issues, ensuring SLA compliance.
  • Project Support: Assist in deployment of new technologies and integrations in collaboration with Network Engineering, Security, and Infrastructure teams.
  • Process Improvement: Contribute to the development of network monitoring and automation processes to enhance operational efficiency.

Qualifications & Skills

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent experience.

Experience:

  • 3–5 years of hands-on experience in enterprise network operations or advanced network support.
  • Professional-level certification: CCNP or equivalent.

Technical Expertise:

  • Networking fundamentals: TCP/IP, subnetting, DHCP, DNS, RADIUS, TACACS, IP SLA, SNMP
  • Routing & Switching: BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, VLANs, STP, HSRP, EtherChannel
  • Firewalls & VPN: Cisco ASA, Palo Alto, Juniper SRX, FortiGate, IPSec/SSL VPN
  • Wireless: Cisco WLC (9800/5520), Wi-Fi site surveys
  • Load Balancers: Citrix ADC / NetScaler
  • Access Control: Cisco ISE, RADIUS, TACACS
  • Platforms & Tools: Windows/Linux, Office 365, GDrive, Visio, Miro, Slack, Zoom, SecureCRT
  • ITSM knowledge: Incident, Problem, Change Management (ServiceNow preferred)
  • Network tools: tcpdump, Wireshark, iPerf, Nmap, SevOne, SolarWinds, Grafana, NetMRI

Soft Skills:

  • Strong troubleshooting, communication, and coordination across global teams
  • Excellent analytical and documentation skills
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities under pressure
  • Passion for networking technologies and continuous learning
  • Self-motivated, adaptable, and collaborative

Mandatory Skills

  • Cisco SDN network administration
