About The Role

As a Senior .NET Full Stack Developer, you will make an impact by designing, building, and maintaining scalable applications that support business needs in the Life and Annuities Insurance domain. You will collaborate with product owners, architects, and engineers to deliver secure, reliable, cloud-enabled solutions.

IN THIS ROLE, YOU WILL

  • Build and maintain RESTful services using ASP.NET Core Web API and .NET Core
  • Develop responsive user interfaces using React.js
  • Implement server-side components and integrations using Node.js
  • Design, optimize, and troubleshoot SQL databases for performance and integrity
  • Deploy and support workloads on AWS, including Lambda and EC2
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies and contribute to sprint delivery commitments
  • Review code, troubleshoot issues, and improve engineering standards and maintainability

Based on this role’s business requirements, this is a hybrid position requiring 3 days per week in a Cognizant or client office in Toronto, Ontario. What You Need To Have To Be Considered

  • 6+ years of software development experience in full stack delivery
  • Strong experience with ASP.NET Core Web API and .NET Core
  • Strong experience with React.js in production environments
  • Hands-on expertise with SQL, including query tuning and database design
  • Experience with Node.js for server-side development or API integrations
  • Experience deploying and operating applications on AWS (Lambda, EC2)
  • Experience delivering solutions in the insurance domain (Life and Annuities preferred) or another regulated industry
  • Professional English communication skills for global stakeholder collaboration

THESE WILL HELP YOU STAND OUT

  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automated testing practices
  • Experience with cloud-native patterns (event-driven, microservices, serverless)
  • Experience mentoring engineers and contributing to code quality governance
  • Familiarity with security best practices and compliance-driven delivery

Salary And Other Compensation

Applications will be accepted until February 9th, 2026.

The annual salary for this position is between $61,605 - $102,500, depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
