Job Description:

Teceze is seeking an experienced L2 Network Support Engineer to support our client’s enterprise network operations. The role involves handling Level-2 incidents, performing troubleshooting, supporting network changes, and working closely with L3 teams and vendors to ensure high availability and performance of network infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Handle L2 network incidents and service requests escalated from L1 support.
  • Perform in-depth troubleshooting of LAN, WAN, WLAN, and VPN issues.
  • Monitor network performance and proactively identify potential issues.
  • Configure, maintain, and support switches, routers, firewalls, and wireless access points.
  • Support network changes, upgrades, and migrations with minimal downtime.
  • Assist with rack & stack, cabling, patch panel management, and device replacement when required.
  • Support wireless troubleshooting, AP installation, and site validation.
  • Work with Network SMEs/L3 teams for complex issue resolution.
  • Coordinate with vendors and ISPs for circuit and hardware-related issues.
  • Maintain accurate documentation, network diagrams, and incident reports.
  • Ensure compliance with security policies, standards, and best practices.
  • Provide support during user acceptance testing (UAT) and post-change validation.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • 3+ years of experience in Network Support / Operations.
  • Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, STP, routing protocols (OSPF/BGP – basic).
  • Hands-on experience with Cisco/Aruba/Juniper networking devices.
  • Experience with wireless technologies (802.11, controllers, APs).
  • Familiarity with network monitoring tools and ticketing systems.
  • Ability to perform console access and remote device configuration support.
  • Good understanding of network security fundamentals (ACLs, firewalls, VPNs).
  • Strong communication and documentation skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • CCNA / Network+ or equivalent certification.
  • Experience supporting enterprise or data center environments.
  • Onsite support and hands-and-feet experience.
