The Engineering Manager OR Project Engineering Coordinator plays a crucial role in supporting the engineering team and ensuring smooth coordination between various disciplines involved in the execution of engineering projects. This role involves overseeing project progress, resolving engineering issues, and ensuring the project is executed according to schedule, budget, and quality standards
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Coordinate engineering activities and tasks, ensuring alignment with project goals, timelines, and objectives.
- Serve as a primary point of contact for engineering teams, clients, and subcontractors, ensuring seamless communication and issue resolution.
- Assist in preparing engineering documentation, including drawings, specifications, and reports.
- Monitor engineering deliverables to ensure they meet the required quality standards, scope, and deadlines.
- Ensure that engineering design and specifications comply with all relevant regulations, standards, and client requirements.
- Work closely with the project manager to track and report project progress, identifying any potential delays or issues that may arise.
- Support in managing and resolving engineering challenges during the project lifecycle, ensuring solutions are implemented promptly.
- Collaborate with procurement, construction, and commissioning teams to ensure the timely delivery of materials, equipment, and services required for the project.
- Track and report project changes, ensuring that design revisions and modifications are well-documented and communicated to all relevant stakeholders.
- Assist in developing and reviewing project schedules, ensuring that engineering tasks are completed in line with the overall project timeline.
- Provide engineering support during site surveys, inspections, and tests, ensuring all project requirements are met.
- Maintain and update project documentation, including change orders, technical submittals, and progress reports.
- Assist in coordinating meetings with clients, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure effective project communication and issue resolution.
- Help track and monitor project budgets, ensuring that engineering costs are within allocated limits.
- Ensure engineering design changes are effectively incorporated into the project, minimizing any negative impact on the timeline or cost.
- Monitor and report on engineering team performance, identifying areas for improvement and suggesting corrective actions as needed.
Required Education:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Civil, Mechanical, or related discipline)
Preferred Experience:
- Minimum of 15+ years of experience in project engineering, with a solid understanding of engineering processes and project execution.
- Previous experience in coordinating engineering activities for large-scale projects, particularly in the offshore (wellhead jackets) oil and gas projects.
- Experience working with cross-functional teams, including procurement, construction, and commissioning.
- Familiarity with project management software and tools used to track project progress and deliverables

- Strong organizational and coordination skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of liaising effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Good problem-solving and analytical abilities to address engineering challenges and ensure smooth project execution.
- Strong attention to detail, with the ability to maintain accurate project documentation and reporting.
- Proficiency in engineering software and project management tools to track deliverables and progress.
- Solid understanding of engineering design, standards, and codes.
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work effectively under pressure.
- Collaborative mindset, able to work well with a diverse range of teams, including engineers, clients, and subcontractors.
- Ability to identify potential risks in engineering tasks and proactively recommend corrective actions.
- Knowledge of safety and quality standards, ensuring all engineering work complies with regulatory and company requirements
