About The Role

MCS Group is partnering with a leading global technology firm to support the development of a new engineering hub based in Belfast. As part of its expansion, the company is seeking experienced Senior React Engineers to join their dynamic team. In this role, you will be instrumental in designing, developing, and maintaining next-generation web applications that have a significant impact on global business operations. The position offers a hybrid working environment, combining the flexibility of remote work with onsite collaboration in Belfast. Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess proven experience in building complex, scalable frontend applications using React and Typescript. A strong understanding of modern web technologies, including HTML5, CSS, and responsive design principles, is essential. Candidates should have a background working within Agile teams, demonstrating excellent collaboration skills. Knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure is advantageous but not mandatory. A degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or an equivalent field is preferred, though relevant professional experience can also be considered. Experience within financial services or similar regulated industries is beneficial but not essential, as the focus is on technical expertise and a proactive approach to development challenges.

Responsibilities

• Develop, enhance, and maintain high-quality, scalable frontend applications utilizing React, Typescript, and modern web development frameworks.
• Collaborate closely with UX designers, backend engineers, and product managers to create seamless and engaging user experiences.
• Participate in architectural discussions, contributing ideas to improve application performance, security, and scalability.
• Contribute to continuous integration and deployment (CI/CD) pipelines, ensuring efficient and reliable release cycles.
• Mentor junior developers, conduct thorough code reviews, and promote best practices in frontend engineering to uphold high standards of code quality.
