About our Innovation Lab

We're a specialized team at the forefront of Dyflexis's technical innovation, focusing on transforming complex mathematical models into user-friendly solutions. Our compact yet dynamic team consists of four core members, collaborating with various domain teams across Dyflexis. We're currently spearheading two groundbreaking projects:

1. Automatic scheduling: Revolutionizing how businesses create and optimize staff schedules

2. Demand forecasting: Leveraging machine learning to predict business demand using historical data, weather patterns, and other predictive features

You'll be joining a tight-knit team of four core members, where your work will have direct visibility and impact. While we operate independently when developing proof-of-concepts, we maintain strong collaborative relationships with domain teams across Dyflexis. This role offers the perfect balance of autonomous work and collaborative integration, allowing you to shape the future of workforce management technology.

What you'll be doing

As our dedicated Innovation Lab Developer, you'll be the bridge between complex mathematical models and user-friendly applications. You'll:

• Transform algorithmic solutions into tangible, user-friendly interfaces
• Split your time equally between frontend and backend development
• Work independently on proof-of-concept projects from ideation to delivery
• Collaborate with domain teams to integrate innovative solutions into the main Dyflexis platform
• Deploy and maintain cloud-based solutions using Docker across various cloud platforms (currently Scaleway)

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain features across our entire tech stack - PHP (Symfony) Vue 3, Docker and Gitlab
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and ship new features
• Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code
• Participate in rapid prototyping, code reviews and contribute to our technical architecture
• Troubleshoot, debug, and upgrade existing systems
• Stay up-to-date with emerging trends and technologies
• Take full ownership of technical implementation and problem-solving
• Design and build scalable interfaces for mathematical and algorithmic solutions
• Contribute to our cloud infrastructure and deployment processes
• Work closely with domain owners to implement and integrate new features

What you need to succeed

The setting is challenging: 800k users depend on our platform, so stability and scalability must go hand in hand. You'll be working in a small, focused team where independence and initiative are crucial. We're looking for someone who can hit the ground running with minimal supervision while maintaining high standards of code quality.

Your track record shows:

• Strong experience with our tech stack: PHP (Symfony), Vue 3, Docker, and GitLab
• Practical experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Google Cloud, Azure, or Scaleway)
• Proven ability to work independently and take full ownership of projects
• Experience in building intuitive interfaces for complex technical solutions
• Strong collaboration skills for working with domain-specific teams
• Proactive problem-solving mindset and ability to work with minimal supervision
