Join KuCoin EU and lead our cybersecurity strategy as we build compliant crypto infrastructure for Europe.

As CISO, you’ll own KuCoin EU’s information security agenda end-to-end - protecting our operations, client assets, and data while ensuring compliance with MiCAR, DORA, NIS2, GDPR, and standards such as ISO 27001 / SOC2 / PCI-DSS. You’ll act as a trusted advisor to senior leadership, collaborate closely with global security teams, and engage with regulators including the Austrian Financial Market Authority.

• Lead cloud, network, access control, encryption, and monitoring initiatives
• Own incident response, threat detection, and vulnerability management
• Build and lead a high-performing security team
• Embed security into DevSecOps and product development

What makes You special

• You bring proven senior cybersecurity leadership experience, ideally in crypto, fintech, financial services, or high-growth tech environments
• You have a strong command of EU regulations (MiCAR, DORA, NIS2, GDPR) and know how to turn regulatory requirements into practical security programs
• You combine strategic thinking with hands-on execution and are comfortable owning both long-term vision and day-to-day security operations
• You have deep expertise in cloud and network security, encryption, access controls, threat detection, and security monitoring
• You’ve successfully built or scaled security programs aligned with frameworks such as ISO 27001, SOC2, or PCI-DSS
• You understand blockchain technology and crypto ecosystems, including their unique security challenges
• You’re confident advising executive leadership and communicating risk clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
• You thrive in fast-paced, international environments and are legally able to work full-time in Vienna, Austria
