Your Responsibilities

  • Work in the Data Science Team of the INNIO Digital organization on challenging data science and software development tasks in close collaboration with cross-functional teams (e.g., Research Partners, Controls Engineering, Service, Thermodynamics, Simulations)
  • Implement complex algorithms and analytics from idea generation through development to product release
  • Apply advanced machine and deep learning methods to large time-series data sets from multiple sources
  • Develop and deploy Python applications on INNIO’s cloud-based IoT platform
  • Conduct code reviews and ensure compliance with code quality and technical guidelines
  • Use modern software design processes and tools for concept, design, and testing of software for current and new products
  • Collaborate with software product managers to implement and release features that meet stakeholder needs

Your Profile

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree (or equivalent) in Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related field
  • Proven track record in machine learning model design, development, and validation (Python, PyTorch, TensorFlow, SciKit)
  • Strong background in implementing Python applications and web services (Dash, Flask, FastAPI)
  • Solid expertise with databases (relational and/or NoSQL)
  • Experience in consuming REST and GraphQL APIs
  • Ideally, familiarity with large time-series data sets, Prefect pipelines and/or MLOps (MLflow), linear programming/optimization (MILP, CBC, Pyomo), cloud-based microservice architectures (Kubernetes, Docker), and additional programming languages (Java, JavaScript)
  • A valid work permit for Austria is a prerequisite for this position (Non-EU citizens: please attach the work permit to the application)
  • This role requires 50% presence at the headquarters in Jenbach, Austria
