Senior Backend Developer

You MUST:

We are looking for a Senior Back-End Developer to join a strategic Data & AI project within a European institution, contributing to the design, development, and evolution of high-impact digital solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop robust back-end architectures for web applications.
• Build and maintain scalable and secure RESTful APIs.
• Implement core business logic and server-side services using Python.
• Design, implement, and optimize relational and non-relational databases.
• Develop scalable architectures using containerization and cloud services.
• Ensure application security, data protection, and best development practices.
• Optimize application performance and scalability.
• Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation.
• Perform code reviews, debugging, and ongoing maintenance.
• Produce clear and structured technical documentation.
• Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams (front-end, UX/UI, product, data, etc.).

Technical Requirements

• Strong experience with Python and web frameworks such as Django, Flask, or FastAPI.
• Solid understanding of RESTful API design.
• Proven experience with relational databases (PostgreSQL, Oracle) and non-relational databases (Elasticsearch, MongoDB).
• Hands-on experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions).
• Knowledge of security best practices and data protection standards.
• Proficiency in Git and Agile methodologies.
• Experience with Linux systems and virtualized environments.

• Ability to work in international and multicultural environments.
• Strong communication skills.
• High attention to detail and commitment to code quality.

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Telecommunications, or related fields.
