Lithuania · Full-time · Mid-Senior

About The Job

We are looking for an experienced Cybersecurity professional to join our Embedded Systems Development (ESD) department and lead firmware-level cybersecurity readiness across multiple IoT and vehicle tracking platforms.

Our department develops and maintains several embedded firmware platforms used in GPS tracking, sensors, and IoT devices, including FMB, PRO, Sensors, E-mobility, and FT platforms.

Over the next 6-18 months, our key objective is to prepare these platforms for compliance with the EU Cyber Resilience Act (CRA) — despite the fact that detailed CRA requirements and certification expectations for vehicle trackers are still evolving.

This role is for someone who can work under regulatory uncertainty, translate security and compliance intent into real engineering actions, and guide embedded teams from early preparation through certification readiness and execution (2026 → 2028+).

In this role, you will:

  • Lead and coordinate firmware cybersecurity readiness across all ESD platforms
  • Analyze existing firmware repositories, security analyses, and internal assessments
  • Evaluate current platform maturity and identify gaps against expected CRA requirements
  • Define security direction and priorities per platform
  • Translate regulatory language into practical, actionable engineering tasks
  • Propose improvements in:
    • Secure development practices
    • Documentation and ownership
    • Technical security measures where applicable
  • Work closely with senior embedded developers, architects, and team leads
  • Organize and lead technical discussions and workshops when needed
  • Break down cybersecurity initiatives into clearly scoped tasks suitable for embedded developers
  • Support planning, prioritization, and clarification during implementation
  • Coordinate firmware security efforts with company-wide compliance strategy
  • Support ESD during pre-certification and actual certification activities with notified bodies and laboratories
  • Provide long-term guidance to maintain CRA compliance after 2027/2028

What this role is NOT:

  • Not a pure advisory or documentation role
  • Not isolated from engineering teams
  • Not focused on IT / enterprise cybersecurity

This is a hands-on coordination and leadership role deeply embedded into real firmware engineering work.

Requirements

What we expect of you:

  • Proven experience in embedded / firmware cybersecurity
  • Experience with IoT or connected device security
  • Experience working in regulatory-driven security environments
  • Strong understanding of product security concepts relevant to embedded devices
  • Ability to work with incomplete or evolving regulatory requirements
  • Ability to clearly communicate with engineers and act as a bridge between regulation and firmware reality
  • Independent, structured, and practical mindset
  • Focus on what actually works in real embedded products, not only theory or documentation
  • Good English language skills (spoken and written)

Ideally, you'll also have:

  • Familiarity with EU Cyber Resilience Act (CRA), RED, CE compliance concepts
  • Experience with threat modeling, secure architecture reviews, or SDL/secure development processes
  • Experience working with certification bodies or security audits
  • Background in embedded development or close cooperation with firmware teams

Benefits

What we offer:

  • Opportunity to shape cybersecurity direction across multiple embedded platforms
  • Work on real, globally deployed IoT and vehicle tracking products
  • A strong R&D environment with experienced embedded teams
  • Hybrid work model and flexible work conditions
  • Health insurance and sports activities
  • Knowledge sharing culture, internal trainings, and conferences
  • Team events, celebrations, and internal community
  • Referral bonuses and recognition programs
  • Office snacks and birthday / anniversary gifts

Salary

We offer a salary that matches your expertise and experience. The salary range for this position is from 20 Eur/h up to 35 Eur/h (:3330 Eur — 5830 Eur pre-tax), with bonus opportunities depending on your experience and impact.

In the employment agreement, we specify a fixed (tariff) hourly salary rate before taxes.
