Information Security Consultant

We’re looking for a Information Security Consultant (m/f) to join our client in the public sector.

Location: Luxembourg

Mode: On-site with teleworking flexibility after the first 3 months.

Contract: CDI (open for permanent employees and/or freelancers)

Language requirement: Fluent French & English.

Salary: To be discussed.

Qualifications:

• Strong expertise in Information Security governance.
• Hands-on experience with an existing ISMS (ISO/IEC 27001 or equivalent) in a non-greenfield context.
• Proven ability to draft, review, and harmonize security policies and procedures.
• Solid experience in security risk analysis, risk treatment, and reporting.
• Knowledge of security frameworks and standards (ISO 27001, NIST, ITIL, CIS Controls v8)
• Experience performing second-line-of-defense controls and compliance tracking.
• Technical exposure to IAM, PAM, Microsoft 365/Azure, AWS, and Google Cloud environments.
• Strong understanding of security controls, incident response, and threat analysis.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including management-level reporting.
• Ability to be operational quickly and deliver compliant outputs from the first month.

Responsibilities:

• Provide second-line Information Security support within a group-wide security governance model
• Support the CISO with operational, analytical, and documentation-related activities
• Perform information security risk assessments for projects, initiatives, and IT environments (IAM, PAM, Microsoft Cloud, AWS, Google Cloud)
• Define, document, and maintain security policies, procedures, and ISMS documentation aligned with existing frameworks
• Review, harmonize, and update security documentation across multiple group entities
• Execute second-level security controls, identify non-conformities, and track remediation actions
• Produce security documentation, reports, KPIs, KRIs, and management presentations
• Contribute to operational continuity and knowledge transfer within the Information Security function
• Provide guidance and support to Local Information Security Officers (LISO) and IT Security teams
• Deliver technical and organizational security recommendations and follow up on their implementation
• Participate in security governance activities, audits, and compliance initiatives
