What You’ll Do
As a .NET/C# Engineer, you will contribute to the development and integration of our B2C domain.
You will be working within the core ecosystem that powers our B2C business. Within this landscape, you’ll design and build scalable backend solutions, integrate diverse systems through APIs and microservices, and ensure smooth data flows across the value chain. By strengthening this digital foundation, you will help deliver seamless customer experiences, support sustainable growth, and enable innovative services that bring us closer to our climate-neutral goals.
You’ll work in a cross-functional product team using a modern stack: .NET/C#, Azure, Kubernetes, Kafka, SQL, etc

What You’ll Do

You’ll work in a cross-functional product team using a modern stack: .NET/C#, Azure, Kubernetes, Kafka, SQL, etc
Is this about you?
- Solid experience with .NET/C# and backend development
- Understanding of cloud platforms and cloud-native development (Azure preferred)
- Experience with CI/CD, containerization, microservices and event-driven architectures
- Know how to write performant, maintainable, scalable, secure and highly available microservices using best practice design patterns, and technologies like SQL/ NoSQL, gRPC, Kafka, Azure Service Bus and Azure Eventhub
- Based in the Netherlands and fluent in English
- Collaborative mindset and willingness to work across disciplines
- Experience with observability, SLIs and SLOs
- Knowledge of B2C operations
- Experience within the energy sector
- Developing and maintaining backend services and integrations in .NET/C#
- Designing clean, modular architectures and ensuring system reliability and scalability
- Building cloud-ready services and working with CI/CD pipelines for fast and secure delivery
- Optimizing performance and implementing monitoring solutions for high availability
- Collaborating with frontend developers, testers, and product managers to deliver seamless digital solutions
- Supporting and enhancing the B2C ecosystem
- Contributing to a wider C# Community of Practice
- Mentoring less experienced engineers
You will join the B2C team and collaborate with other cross-functional product teams. Your work will directly support Eneco’s future B2C tech stack and long-term sustainability goals.
What We Have To Offer
- Gross annual salary between €85.000 and €120.000 Including FlexBudget, 8% holiday allowance, and depending on your role a bonus or collective profit sharing.

- Hybrid working: home, office or abroad Work 40% at the office, 40% from home, and 20% flexibly. With manager approval, you may work abroad (within approved countries) up to 3 weeks/year, max 2 consecutively.
