Scientist In Vivo & In Vitro – Respiratory

WeQuel is looking for a Scientist In Vivo & In Vitro – Respiratory for an assignment at one of our key clients within life science – AstraZeneca.

This is an exciting opportunity to join the Bioscience Asthma & Skin Immunity in vivo team within Research and Early Development, Respiratory & Immunology. The team works at the forefront of respiratory and autoimmune disease research, combining in vitro, in vivo and ex vivo models to advance early drug discovery.

About The Role

In this role, you will support both in vitro and in vivo studies, as well as ex vivo analyses, contributing to high-quality data generation and interpretation within respiratory research projects.

What you will do

• Plan, execute and analyze in vitro and ex vivo experiments supporting drug discovery projects
• Support in vivo studies, including preparation, sampling and live animal handling
• Analyze and interpret primary data and contribute to reports and presentations
• Ensure high standards of data integrity, quality control and data archiving
  
  

Accountabilities

• Hands-on laboratory work with rodent-based studies in close collaboration with in vivo scientists
• Accurate documentation, reporting and presentation of experimental data
• Active contribution in team and project meetings
  
  

Essential Requirements

• Cellular / molecular techniques: Independent experience with ELISA, Meso Scale Discovery, RNA extraction and qRT-PCR
• In vivo experience: Hands-on work with rodents including live animal handling, drug administration, blood and organ sampling and processing
• Valid education to work with live animals in Sweden (LAS, FELASA)
• Data & statistics: Understanding of statistical methods, quality control, reporting and data archiving
• Education: M.Sc. in a relevant field or equivalent competence gained through academia or drug discovery environments
