Business Analyst – Mobile Application Ecosystems (Android & iOS)**

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Business Analyst with strong expertise in mobile application ecosystems, specializing in Android (Kotlin) and iOS (Swift). This role bridges business needs and technical execution—ensuring clear requirement translation, backlog clarity, and seamless coordination with cross‑functional engineering, architecture, QA, DevOps, and product teams. You will work closely with native mobile engineering squads that operate across evolving Android/iOS SDKs and high‑security financial environments.

Key Responsibilities

1. Requirements Gathering & Functional Analysis

• Collaborate with business stakeholders, product owners, and architects to elicit, refine, and document functional and non‑functional requirements for mobile applications.
• Translate high‑level business needs into well‑defined Epics, User Stories, Acceptance Criteria, and end‑to‑end mobile workflows.
• Ensure requirements account for platform version considerations such as Android 14–16, iOS 15–18, Kotlin/Swift version alignment, and mobile compliance standards.

1. Technical Collaboration (Android & iOS)

• Partner with Android and iOS engineers to validate feasibility, effort, dependencies, security constraints, and SDK compatibility.
• Maintain strong functional understanding of:
• Android development lifecycle, Jetpack libraries, coroutines, flows, threading models
• iOS development lifecycle, SwiftUI, Combine pipelines, MVVM patterns
• Support technical discussions on architectural patterns such as MVVM, Clean Architecture, modularization, and performance optimization.
• Integrating APIs/SDKs into mobile layers

1. Integration & Backend Alignment

• Work with backend/API teams to ensure API contracts are consistent with mobile UX flows.
• Align with architectural patterns used internally, including:
• Server‑Driven UI frameworks
• Backend for Frontend (BFF) models
• Secure authentication and multi‑market enablement
• Native API stubbing for integration testing cycle

1. Compliance, Security & Quality Assurance

• Ensure mobile requirements comply with:
• Banking/financial industry security protocols
• Data encryption & secure storage standards
• App Store/Play Store compliance expectations
• Collaborate with QA to validate acceptance criteria and ensure high test coverage across Android/iOS.
• Support UAT and regulatory validation cycles.

1. Cross‑Functional Collaboration & Delivery Enablement

• Partner with engineering, design, DevOps, QA, and PMO teams to deliver features against planned increments.
• Leverage internal DevOps knowledge such as:
• Android/iOS SDK upgrade cycles
• CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions/Jenkins)
• Automated deployment flows across environments
• Participate in code review discussions, refinement sessions, risk assessments, and continuous improvement activities.

Required Skills & Qualifications

10+ years as a Business Analyst (preferably in Mobile Application Ecosystems).

Strong understanding of:

• Android native development fundamentals (professionally).
• Kotlin (expert) and Java (working knowledge).
• Android engineering stack: Android SDK, Jetpack, Android Studio.
• Multithreading, Coroutines, Flow, reactive pipelines.
• Play Store release cycles & compliance.
• Deep familiarity with iOS engineering practices:
• Swift & SwiftUI
• Combine for reactive data handling
• MVVM and modularized architectures
• Experience writing high‑quality functional specifications, business rules, workflow diagrams, and integration requirements.
• Experience working in high‑security domains (banking/fintech preferred).

Nice to Have

• Experience with modular app architectures for Android/iOS.
• Knowledge of Push Notifications, Keychain, secure storage.
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum frameworks.
• Experience using analytics, experimentation tools, or feature flagging systems (e.g., used in internal mobile teams).
• Experience with Apple Pay, Wallet integrations, or financial transaction flows.
• Exposure to Jetpack Compose for declarative Android UI.
• Understanding of encryption, secure coding patterns, and mobile‑platform security.
