Senior Java Developer

Who are we looking for:

We are looking for an experienced Senior Java Developer to join an agile, international team working on modern web-based applications. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional team members to deliver high-quality solutions that meet both project and client goals.

Your role and Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with agile team members to achieve project and client objectives
• Participate in design, development, and testing activities
• Develop and maintain web-based applications using Java and frontend technologies
• Work with web services and APIs (SOAP / REST)
• Deploy and maintain applications on cloud platforms (AWS, Azure)
• Apply Clean Code principles and implement unit testing
• Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and automated deployment processes
• Communicate effectively with international stakeholders and team members

What we expect from you:

• 5+ years of commercial experience developing web-based applications using Java and frontend technologies
• Strong proficiency in object-oriented programming (functional programming is a plus)
• Solid experience with Java frameworks commonly used in enterprise projects
• Strong knowledge of JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3, and responsive single-page application design
• Hands-on experience with Angular
• Experience working with databases and SQL
• Experience deploying applications to cloud platforms (AWS and/or Azure)
• Experience with source code management, CI/CD, and automated deployment
• Knowledge of Clean Code practices and unit testing
• Very good English communication skills (spoken and written)
• Experience working on international projects
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, IT, Science, or another technical field
• At least 5 years of experience in a corporate IT environment in a similar role
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Eagerness to learn and constantly improve yourself
• Proactive attitude and great sense of responsibility
• Good command of written/spoken English (B2 and above)

Nice to Have:

• Knowledge of Kafka or RabbitMQ
• Hands-on experience with microservices architecture
• Certifications in Java, Spring, SQL, AWS, or Azure
• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes
• Knowledge of German or another European language
