Role Overview

We are looking for a Senior Data Analyst to join our client, a global leader in healthy and sustainable nutrition. This role will play a critical part in our Data Analytics team, helping the business understand what is happening in the market, why it is happening, and what actions should be taken next.

This role focuses on analysis, insight generation, and decision support, and dashboard production. You will work with messy, fragmented data, collaborate closely with business stakeholders, and independently shape analytical approaches to answer complex and often ambiguous questions.

While this is not a pure Data Scientist role, you will apply advanced analytical and machine-learning techniques (e.g., forecasting, regression, classification) when needed—particularly to support sales performance and bonus target predictions.

What You Will Do

• Business & Market Analysis
• Lead daily sales and performance analyses, focusing on trends, anomalies, and key drivers rather than simple reporting
• Produce monthly performance bulletins that explain business results, market movements, and underlying dynamics
• Conduct ad hoc deep-dive analyses to support strategic and operational business questions
• Translate loosely defined business problems into structured analytical approaches

Advanced Analytics & Modeling

• Build and support forecasting and predictive models (e.g., sales forecasting, performance prediction, bonus target logic)
• Apply statistical and machine-learning techniques such as regression, classification, and feature engineering
• Interpret model outputs and clearly explain results, assumptions, and limitations to non-technical stakeholders
• Collaborate with data engineers when dedicated pipelines or datasets are required for specific analytical initiatives

Data Exploration & Preparation

• Extract, join, and validate data from multiple sources in an environment
• Perform data quality checks, reconcile inconsistencies, and ensure analytical outputs are trustworthy
• Use SQL and Python as primary tools for data manipulation, analysis, and modeling

Stakeholder Collaboration

• Work directly with key business partners to understand objectives and constraints
• Challenge unclear or incomplete requests and help reframe them into meaningful analytical questions
• Prepare slides and analytical decks that communicate insights, implications, and recommendations clearly
• Collaborate with analytics leadership to review findings and refine final outputs

Required Skills & Experience (Must-Have)

• 5+ years of experience in data analysis, business analytics, or applied data science
• Strong proficiency in SQL and Python
• Solid understanding of statistics and analytical modeling
• Proven experience translating business questions into analytical solutions
• Ability to work effectively with imperfect, incomplete, and inconsistent data
• Strong communication skills and experience presenting insights to business audiences

Strong Advantage

• Experience building forecasting or predictive models in commercial or sales contexts
• Hands-on experience with Databricks or similar analytics platforms
• Experience working in organizations with low to medium analytics maturity
• Familiarity with modern analytics workflows supported by LLMs or automation tools

Nice-to-Have

• Experience with incentive modeling, bonus calculations, or sales performance optimization
• Experience supporting or collaborating on machine-learning initiatives beyond descriptive analytics
