Insight Global is seeking an experienced Product Manager – Trade Systems to join a large, well-known athleisure company. This role will lead the strategy, development, and optimization of technology solutions that manage duties, tariffs, and cross-border trade flows between Canada and the United States.

The ideal candidate has strong expertise in trade compliance, landed cost calculation, and duty optimization, and is skilled at translating complex regulatory requirements into scalable, automated system solutions. The platforms in scope are primarily packaged software with a high degree of configuration and customization to meet evolving business needs.

You will work cross-functionally with Global Trade Compliance, Finance, Logistics, Engineering, Distribution, and Fulfillment Product teams to ensure product roadmaps align with regulatory requirements and deliver measurable business value.


This is a Hybrid role out of either Vancouver or Toronto.


Key Responsibilities

  • Own and maintain the product backlog across multiple trade and fulfillment systems, balancing short-term sprint planning with long-term roadmap priorities
  • Partner with Product, Engineering, and Technology Scrum teams to deliver defined business capabilities within project scope and timelines
  • Translate business and regulatory requirements into clear product documentation, including user stories, acceptance criteria, and MVP definitions
  • Drive backlog prioritization based on value, risk, and regulatory requirements while managing expectations across stakeholders
  • Support cross-team product sign-off processes to ensure solutions meet both business and compliance needs
  • Collaborate with fulfillment, logistics, and operational leaders to understand upcoming capabilities and shape end-to-end customer experiences
  • Work closely with dependent product teams to ensure thoughtful and thorough end-to-end implementation journeys
  • Support software delivery, testing, and quality assurance to ensure high-quality releases
  • Develop specialized knowledge of industry trends, tools, and standards to continuously improve product processes, methodologies, and systems


Required Skills & Experience

  • 2+ years of experience in Product Management or equivalent experience working in Agile environments within:
  • Trade
  • Customs
  • Global Logistics technology
  • Deep understanding of duty, tariff, and customs processes between Canada and the U.S.
  • Experience working with:
  • Finance systems (e.g., landed cost, intercompany accounting, duty recovery)
  • Logistics and trade data (e.g., ASN, commercial invoices, customs entry data)
  • Strong proficiency in MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Access
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively under limited guidance in fast-changing environments
  • Proven ability to meet deadlines and budget constraints


Nice to Have

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics (STEM), or a related field
  • Master’s degree in a related discipline
  • Product Management certification
  • Working knowledge of SQL
  • Retail or athleisure industry experience
