About The Role

We are seeking a talented and motivated Data Scientist to join our Growth Analytics team at Electronic Arts. In this role, you will work closely with media buyers and marketing teams to develop advanced models and experimental frameworks that inform and optimize our marketing strategies.

Your insights will directly influence budget allocation, campaign performance measurement, and forecasting across digital channels. You will be instrumental in building Bayesian Hierarchical Media Mix Models, designing geo-based incrementality experiments, and developing tools for strategic decision-making. Collaborating with stakeholders, translating complex data insights into actionable recommendations, and presenting findings will be key aspects of your responsibilities. This hybrid position offers flexibility with an expectation of three in-office days per week and is open to candidates located near any EA office in Canada.

Qualifications

  • Master's degree in a quantitative field such as Statistics, Econometrics, or related disciplines
  • 2-5 years of professional experience in data science or analytics, preferably in marketing measurement or experimentation
  • Proficiency with Bayesian modeling frameworks and causal inference techniques (e.g., CausalImpact, Fixed Effect Regression)
  • Strong programming skills in Python or R and SQL
  • Experience designing and analyzing marketing experiments, including A/B testing and incrementality studies
  • Ability to develop and implement forecasting models using tools like Prophet
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to convey technical insights to non-technical stakeholders
  • Familiarity with media mix modeling (MMM) and budget optimization techniques

Responsibilities

  • Build Bayesian Hierarchical Media Mix Models (MMMs) to quantify the contribution of various marketing channels
  • Design and analyze geo-based incrementality experiments and user-level re-engagement tests to assess marketing impact
  • Lead the development and evaluation of retargeting experiments, applying A/B testing principles to optimize campaigns
  • Create and maintain budget optimization tools to support strategic marketing decisions
  • Develop forecasting models to project game performance and user engagement metrics
  • Translate complex model outputs into clear, actionable insights and recommendations for marketing teams
  • Collaborate with media buyers and stakeholders to align modeling efforts with business objectives
  • Present findings and insights effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences
