Join a managed cloud solutions provider delivers infrastructure, platforms, and software as a service to the Australian market. The organisation provides various technical services for its customers in relation to the delivery of an enterprise software suite, as well as additional infrastructure such as cloud file storage, email services, and application/web servers.
The Network Engineer is responsible for the design, implementation, operation, and continuous improvement of the organisation’s network infrastructure. This role ensures secure, highly available, and scalable connectivity across data centres, customer environments, and hybrid/cloud platforms.
Key Skills
- Enterprise networking (e.g. Cisco, Fortinet, Meraki, etc.)
- Routing & switching (e.g. BGP, OSPF, VLANs, VRFs, QoS)
- Firewalls, VPNs, site-to-site and remote access connectivity
- Load balancing and traffic management
- Monitoring and troubleshooting tools
- Automation tools and scripting (e.g. Ansible, Terraform, Python)
- Experience with software-defined interconnection platforms (e.g. Megaport)
- Understanding of virtual cross connects (VXCs), bandwidth scaling, redundancy, and latency optimisation
- Exposure to compliance-driven environments (ISO 27001, SOC, etc.)
