Job Summary:

We are looking for a detail-oriented and motivated Quality Assurance Engineer (Software) specializing in manual testing to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality and functionality of our software products through comprehensive manual testing processes. Your expertise will help us deliver reliable and high-quality software solutions to our customers.

Key Responsibilities:

• Requirements Analysis: Collaborate with product managers, developers, and stakeholders to understand software requirements and technical specifications.
• Test Planning: Create and maintain detailed test plans outlining the testing strategy, scope, resources, and timelines for projects.
• Test Case Development: Design, document, and execute manual test cases and test scenarios based on functional and non-functional requirements.
• Testing Execution: Perform different types of testing, including functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end testing to validate software applications.
• Test Automation: Collaborate with the automation team, run existing automated tests and evaluate results, recommend tests for automation
• Defect Reporting: Identify, document, and track defects in a defect tracking system; work collaboratively with developers to facilitate prompt resolution of issues.
• Test Documentation: Maintain thorough documentation of testing processes, including test cases, results, and defect logs; provide clear and actionable feedback.
• User Acceptance Testing (UAT): Assist in UAT by validating that software meets business requirements and is ready for deployment.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with UX/UI designers and product teams to provide input on usability and user experience enhancements.
• Continuous Improvement: Actively participate in process improvement initiatives to enhance quality assurance practices, methodologies, and tools used in testing.
• Test Environment Preparation: Configure the devices under test with the right firmware or with the right apps.

Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; equivalent work experience may be considered.
• Experience: 3+ years of experience in software manual testing, with a solid understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and testing methodologies.
• Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; attention to detail and a passion for quality.
• Tools Knowledge: Familiarity with defect tracking and test management tools (e.g., xRay (preferred), JIRA, TestRail, or similar) and basic understanding of test automation tools is a plus.
• Technical Acumen: Understanding of core software development principles and familiarity with programming concepts is beneficial.
• Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively 

Ccollaborate with team members and stakeholders.

• Mobile Testing: both iOs and Android

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in specific domains such as IoT or mobile is preferred.
• ISTQB or relevant quality assurance certifications are a plus.
• Basic knowledge of electronics - how to power a device, solder some wires for serial communication etc.
• API testing (Postman, Swagger, etc)
• AWS ecosystem basic experience
• Basic Python knowledge (run scripts)
