We are seeking a driven and strategic Product Owner to join our dynamic, agile, and autonomous squad. In this role, you will work closely with the Product Manager to communicate the product vision, oversee backlog prioritization, and align the development team with business goals. As the bridge between business needs, development teams, and customer feedback, you will lead agile ceremonies, facilitate sprint success, and support the team in delivering high-quality product increments. This role requires close collaboration with cross-functional teams, including engineering, UX/UI, and business systems, to ensure the product delivers maximum value to users.
Key Responsibilities
• Support the Product Manager in communicating the product vision and goals to the development team. Ensure all development tasks contribute to the strategic direction of the product.
• Assist the Product Manager in prioritizing and maintaining the product backlog, ensuring alignment with business objectives. Break down high-level features into actionable user stories and tasks, always preparing for sprint planning.
• Lead sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives, ensuring that the team adheres to agile principles and remains focused on sprint goals.
• Translate business requirements into detailed user stories with clear acceptance criteria. Refine and clarify stories throughout the sprint to ensure a shared understanding among team members.
• Work closely with the Product Manager to ensure that the squad’s work aligns with overall product strategy and business goals. Act as the primary point of contact between the development team and the Product Manager, communicating progress, challenges, and results.
• Proactively identify and mitigate potential roadblocks, ensuring smooth progress for the development team. Collaborate with development and QA teams to ensure deliverables meet the definition of done and acceptance criteria.
• Participate in product testing and validation, ensuring that the product meets quality standards. After launch, collaborate with relevant teams to measure product performance and drive continuous improvement.
• Collaborate with key stakeholders to ensure successful product launches and ongoing support
Required Skills
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Proven experience in a Product Owner or similar role within an agile environment.
• Deep understanding of agile methodologies such as SDLC, Scrum or Kanban.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to engage effectively with diverse stakeholders. Ability to clearly convey product requirements to the team and provide feedback to stakeholders
• Ability to guide the squad through sprints and agile processes while fostering collaboration and continuous improvement.
• Capable of managing multiple tasks and maintaining a well-organized backlog and sprint process.
• Ability to work closely with both the Product Manager and the development squad to achieve common goals.
• Familiarity with tools like JIRA, Confluence, or similar project management and agile tracking systems.
