Network Administrator

Job Summary

We are seeking a Junior Network Administrator to support day-to-day network operations with a strong focus on physical infrastructure tasks and access-layer networking. This role is ideal for someone early in their networking career who is hands-on, detail-oriented, and eager to build practical experience working with enterprise network environments, particularly Cisco Meraki.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform racking, stacking, and cabling of network equipment in data centers and wiring closets
• Install, replace, and decommission access-layer network devices
• Configure and support Cisco Meraki access switches and wireless access points under guidance
• Assist with basic network configuration tasks (VLANs, port assignments, PoE, switch profiles)
• Support network moves, adds, and changes (MAC requests)
• Perform basic troubleshooting of connectivity issues at the access layer
• Label, document, and update network diagrams and inventory records
• Work closely with senior network engineers during deployments and maintenance windows
• Follow change management and operational procedures

Required Skills & Experience

• 0–3 years of experience in a network support or IT infrastructure role
• Hands-on experience with racking/stacking, cabling, and hardware installation
• Basic understanding of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, VLANs, switching)
• Exposure to Cisco Meraki switching and wireless preferred
• Familiarity with network tools and basic troubleshooting practices
• Comfortable working in data center and onsite environments

Nice to Have

• Cisco CCNA (or working toward certification)
• Experience with ticketing systems and change management processes
• Exposure to Wi-Fi deployments and access point configuration
