Product Manager

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Product Manager to join a global leader in the home appliance industry, with a focus on developing and managing the product concept for a low-level SDK (C, C++, etc.) that will enable standardized connections to the company's IoT platform. This role is pivotal to the company's transition towards digital, software-defined products, integrating hardware, software, and connectivity platforms for a seamless consumer experience.

The ideal candidate will leverage their experience in electronics and IoT, with a strong focus on collaboration and product management. This is a unique opportunity to work in a cross-functional environment with teams across hardware development, firmware, IoT platforms, cybersecurity, and user experience.

Responsibilities:

• Develop a Product Requirement Brief for the SDK product, focusing on low-level software (C, C++) and connectivity to the IoT platform.
• Align the product concept with Legal and Cybersecurity compliance requirements.
• Verify the product's feasibility by collaborating with selected OEM/ODM vendors.
• Work closely with Sourcing/Purchasing to establish potential contractual setups.
• Estimate lead times and costs for implementation and ongoing operations of the SDK product throughout its lifecycle in the appliance.
• Drive alignment with internal product teams to ensure compatibility and integration across the connectivity domain.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in product management, with a strong technical background in electronics and IoT.
• Proven experience in creating product requirement briefs and leading cross-functional teams.
• In-depth knowledge of connectivity platforms, low-level software (SDK), and cybersecurity standards.
• Strong understanding of hardware development, firmware, and the IoT ecosystem.
• Experience working with OEM/ODM vendors and understanding feasibility and cost analysis.
• Skilled in stakeholder management, procurement, and contract negotiations.
• Fluency in English, both written and spoken.

Admission and Application

This is a full-time role with standard office hours. The assignment is set to begin ASAP and is expected to run until March 31st, 2025, with the possibility of an extension. You will be employed by JobBusters and assigned as a consultant to our client.
