About The Role

As a Data Analyst, you will play a crucial role in analyzing complex datasets to drive business insights and decision-making. With your expertise in EDA, MS Excel, Python, SQL scripting, and Source-to-Data Mapping, you will transform raw data into meaningful information. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance data-driven strategies and contribute to the company’s growth in a hybrid work model.

In This Role, You Will

• Analyze large datasets using Exploratory Data Analysis techniques to uncover trends and patterns that inform business decisions
• Develop complex Excel models to support data analysis and reporting requirements
• Implement Python scripts to streamline data manipulation and enhance analytical capabilities
• Write SQL queries to extract, transform, and load data from various databases for comprehensive analysis
• Perform Source-to-Data Mapping to ensure accurate lineage, traceability, and alignment between business requirements and data assets
• Prepare insightful presentations using MS PowerPoint to communicate findings to stakeholders
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data needs and deliver actionable insights
• Ensure data accuracy and integrity by conducting thorough quality checks and validation processes
• Identify opportunities for process improvement and recommend data-driven solutions
• Support strategic initiatives by providing data-driven recommendations and insights
• Monitor industry trends and advancements in data analytics to continuously improve methodologies
• Contribute to the development of data governance policies and best practices
• Drive innovation by exploring new tools and technologies to enhance data analysis capabilities

Based on this role’s business requirements, this is a hybrid position requiring 3-4 days a week in a client or Cognizant office in Columbus, OH. What You Need To Have To Be Considered

• Demonstrated expertise in Exploratory Data Analysis and proficiency in Alteryx for data automation
• Strong skills in MS Excel for complex data modeling and analysis
• Proficient in Python for data manipulation and scripting tasks
• Solid experience in SQL scripting for database management and data extraction
• Ability to create impactful presentations using MS Powerpoint
• Excellent analytical skills with a focus on accuracy and attention to detail
• Effective communication skills to convey complex data insights to non-technical stakeholders
• Experience in a hybrid work model with a focus on collaboration and flexibility
• Commitment to continuous learning and staying updated with industry trends
• Proven track record of delivering actionable insights that drive business growth
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously

Salary And Other Compensation

Applications will be accepted until February 10th, 2025.

The annual salary for this position is between $64,000 - $95,500 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
