About the project:
In High-Throughput Experimentation (HTE), thousands of experiments are conducted monthly, requiring efficient management of chemical and analytical data. This project focuses on modernizing and enhancing a custom-built platform through refactoring, adopting modern technologies, and improving documentation.
Your day-to-day responsibilities include:
- Developing and maintaining web applications using JavaScript, TypeScript, Angular, and Node.js.
- Refactoring and modernizing the existing codebase to align with ES6 standards and best practices.
- Writing and maintaining clear, comprehensive documentation for all aspects of the system.
- Collaborating with UX designers and scientists to improve the user experience.
- Configuring and managing Apache or nginx web servers for application deployment.
- Testing and ensuring the reliability of updated and existing systems.
You’re ideal for this role if you have:
- Experience with GitLab for CI/CD pipelines and version control.
- Proficiency in designing and implementing RESTful APIs.
- Strong problem-solving and collaboration skills.
- Familiarity with database management (e.g., PostgreSQL or MySQL).
It would be great if you also have:
- Experience with Google Apps Script and Google Workspace.
- Knowledge of Docker and containerization technologies.
- Experience with infrastructure on Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
