We’re partnering with an ambitious, venture-backed HealthTech startup on a mission to build a next-generation digital healthcare platform with real-world impact.

Founded by experienced repeat founders and backed by a strong seed round, the company is now scaling its engineering function ahead of a major platform launch planned for late 2026.

Their goal: to fundamentally improve how healthcare systems operate at scale.

This is an opportunity for a Lead Backend Engineer (Golang) to play a pivotal role in shaping both the technology and the engineering culture from an early stage.

The Role

• As Lead Backend Engineer, you’ll take ownership of the core backend platform, working hands-on while helping set technical direction as the team grows.

• You’ll be building scalable, resilient systems in a modern cloud-native environment, collaborating closely with product and founders, and making pragmatic decisions that balance delivery speed with long-term architectural quality.

• This is not a “people-management-only” role, it’s ideal for a senior engineers who enjoys leading by example and shipping meaningful product.

What You’ll Be Working On

• Designing, building, and evolving distributed backend systems using Golang
• Developing event-driven workflows and integrations that operate reliably at scale
• Owning features end-to-end, from early design through to production and iteration
• Making smart, pragmatic trade-offs between speed, quality, and maintainability
• Influencing technical standards, architecture, and engineering best practices
• Helping scale the backend as the product and customer base grow

• Golang, AWS, Kafka, PostgreSQL, Kubernetes, GitHub Actions / CI/CD

What They’re Looking For

• Proven experience shipping production backend systems in a startup or scale-up environment
• Strong Golang experience
• Experience building APIs, distributed systems, or event-driven architectures
• A product-focused mindset, you care about outcomes, not just code
• Comfortable taking ownership and making decisions in an evolving environment
• Excited by early-stage challenges and building something from the ground up
