Job Advert: Product Owner – 6‑Month Contract (Ghent, Belgium)

Location: Ghent, Belgium (with travel across Belgium)

Contract Duration: 6 months

Languages: Dutch required; French strongly preferred

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Product Owner to support and oversee multiple ongoing projects across Belgium. This is a contract role for someone who thrives in a fast‑moving environment, can balance competing priorities, and excels at driving clarity across teams.

The successful candidate will ensure projects are delivered on time, to a high standard, and aligned with overall business goals. A key part of the role is evaluating the success of various initiatives and contributing to strategic decisions about which projects should progress further.

Key Responsibilities

• Work closely with cross‑functional teams to guide project delivery from start to finish.
• Ensure that project timelines, milestones and quality expectations are consistently met.
• Analyse project performance, outcomes, and overall impact to support data‑driven decisions.
• Provide clear recommendations on whether projects should advance, pivot or conclude.
• Facilitate communication between stakeholders, ensuring alignment on priorities and expectations.
• Lead requirement‑gathering sessions, reviews, and progress updates.
• Maintain clarity and structure in an environment with multiple moving parts.

Requirements

• Strong experience as a Product Owner, Product Manager, or similar role.
• Fluency in Dutch; professional competency in French is highly beneficial.
• Proven ability to manage several initiatives simultaneously across different teams.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder‑management skills, with the ability to adapt style depending on audience.
• Strong analytical mindset and ability to assess project value, risks, and outcomes.
• Willingness to travel within Belgium as required.
• Ability to work independently while fostering collaboration across teams.
