Job Description
As a System Specification Engineer, you will join our local Specification & Architecture team within Mobile Networks RAN Architecture. This is a dynamic and rapidly evolving environment where your primary focus will be on the specification of 5G, 6G and O-RAN features. O-RAN specifications complement 3GPP, ONAP, and ETSI standards, aiming to enhance interoperability across existing 3GPP RAN interfaces and introduce new interfaces not currently covered by 3GPP.
You will be involved in defining the requirements and architecture for Base Transceiver Stations (BTS), which are the fundamental building blocks of a mobile network. BTS are responsible for transmitting and receiving radio signals, enabling communication between mobile devices and the network core. Your work will contribute to the O-RAN revolution, which is transforming the way mobile networks are built and operated.
The O-RAN (Open Radio Access Network) approach revolutionizes traditional Radio Access Network (RAN) by promoting an open, standardized framework that supports diverse, interoperable components from multiple vendors. This model fosters flexibility, innovation, and cost efficiency in the deployment and operation of radio networks. As O-RAN continues to shape the future of telecommunications, your role will be critical in contributing to the development and integration of these specifications.
This is a challenging and rewarding role for someone passionate about shaping the future of mobile networks. Your work will directly impact the performance, reliability, and security of wireless communication for millions of users.
