Information Security Consultant

Information Security Consultant Hybrid (Dublin– mostly remote)

Salary up to £65,000

My client is seeking an experienced Information Security Consultant to help strengthen and maintain their security posture across systems, networks, and cloud environments. The role is predominantly remote, with occasional on-site collaboration in Northern Ireland.

Key responsibilities:

• Assess, design, and implement information security controls and frameworks
• Conduct risk assessments, audits, and gap analyses (e.g. ISO 27001, NIST, CIS)
• Advise stakeholders on security best practices, policies, and compliance
• Support incident response, vulnerability management, and remediation activities
• Work closely with technical and non-technical teams to embed security by design

Key requirements:

• Proven experience in information or cyber security consulting
• Strong knowledge of security frameworks, risk management, and compliance
• Experience with cloud security (Azure, AWS, or GCP preferred)
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills

Desirable certifications:

• CISSP, CISM, or CISA
• ISO/IEC 27001 Lead Implementer or Lead Auditor
• CompTIA Security+ or CySA+
• Cloud security certifications (e.g. CCSP, AWS Security, Azure Security Engineer)
