Your new role
The Construction Project Manager is responsible for the planning, coordination, and delivery of multi‑unit residential projects, with a particular focus on apartment buildings. The role ensures projects are completed safely, on programme, within budget, and to a high standard of quality and client satisfaction.
- Plan, coordinate, and oversee residential apartment projects from pre‑construction through completion, including scheduling, resourcing, and risk management.
- Manage day‑to‑day site operations, supervising subcontractors, monitoring progress, and ensuring work is delivered safely, efficiently, and to a high-quality standard.
- Ensure regulatory and safety compliance, including building regulations, BCAR processes, and PSCS responsibilities.
- Control project budgets, track costs and variations, support procurement, and work closely with commercial teams to maintain financial performance.
- Lead stakeholder communication, providing clear updates to clients, design teams, suppliers, and internal management to maintain alignment throughout the project.
What you'll need to succeed
- 5+ years' experience in construction project management, ideally in residential or apartment development.
- Strong understanding of construction sequencing, structural works, and apartment fit‑out stages.
- Proven experience leading subcontractor teams on complex multi‑unit projects.
- Solid planning and scheduling abilities (MS Project or similar).
- Strong commercial and contractual awareness.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and problem‑solving skills.
- Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related field.
- Desirable CertificationsBCAR familiarity.
PSCS / PSDP training.
Health & Safety qualifications (Safe Pass, IOSH, SMSTS).
Project management certification (PMP, Prince2).
