Responsibilities:


  • Identify and engage key stakeholders, including Fund Management, Compliance, Product, Operations and IT teams supporting mutual funds.
  • Gather, analyse and document business requirements, with a focus on mutual fund–specific data attributes (e.g. share classes, NAV, fund domicile, distribution channels).
  • Determine critical data attributes required for regulatory reporting, investor servicing and portfolio management.
  • Inventory all mutual fund data attributes from the legacy data master, including data definitions, formats (e.g. ISIN, SEDOL) and business usage.
  • Map legacy attributes to the strategic funds data model, ensuring proper coverage of mutual fund–specific fields such as fund objectives, fee structures and distribution frequency.
  • Identify, analyse and resolve data gaps and inconsistencies, particularly those impacting regulatory compliance and industry standards.
  • Assess the accuracy, completeness and consistency of historical mutual fund data.
  • Identify and document data cleansing requirements for critical attributes (e.g. NAV history issues, share class inconsistencies, outdated risk ratings).
  • Define and document data transformation and migration rules, including unit conversions, fund name normalisation and share class harmonisation.
  • Address mutual fund–specific scenarios within migration logic, such as fund mergers, share class launches or closures, and fund rebranding.
  • Contribute to the definition of test scenarios, validation rules and reconciliation controls for migrated mutual fund data (e.g. NAV history, fund classification, regulatory disclosures).
  • Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) with Fund Operations, Distribution and Compliance teams to ensure data accuracy and fitness for purpose.


Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Business Analyst or Data Analyst on data migration, decommissioning or data transformation projects.
  • Strong knowledge of mutual fund data and fund administration concepts (share classes, NAV, fund structures, distribution).
  • Solid understanding of regulatory and business requirements related to mutual funds.
  • Experience with data mapping, data quality assessment and data validation.
  • Ability to translate business requirements into clear functional and data specifications.
  • Strong analytical, documentation and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work in a cross-functional environment.
  • Comfortable working with IT, data and business teams throughout the migration lifecycle.
