Python Developer

An opportunity for a senior Python Developer who thrives in cloud-native environments and loves building scalable data solutions, to join a leading financial organisation in Amsterdam.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain data pipelines and processing solutions using Python (3.11+) and Databricks (PySpark)
• Work with Azure services including networking, storage and security (Entra ID)
• Write and optimise SQL queries for data manipulation and analysis
• Support automation and platform engineering tasks using Bash and/or PowerShell
• Use Infrastructure as Code (Bicep) to deploy cloud infrastructure in a controlled and repeatable way
• Contribute to containerised workloads using Kubernetes
• Work with event-driven architectures using Kafka
• Orchestrate workflows using Airflow
• Ensure quality through risk-based testing (unit, integration, regression)
• Contribute to CI/CD delivery pipelines (Azure DevOps preferred)

Requirements:

• Strong experience with Python (3.11+) and data processing frameworks such as Databricks (PySpark)
• Solid knowledge of Azure services (networking, storage, security including Entra ID)
• Proficiency in SQL
• Scripting skills in Bash and/or PowerShell
• Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code using Bicep
• Experience with Kubernetes
• Knowledge of Kafka
• Understanding of Airflow
