Role Overview:

We are looking for a Senior Project Manager to join one of our major clients, a leading financial institution in Portugal specializing in consumer credit, payments, and digital financial products, serving over 1 million customers.

Location: Hybrid model – offices in Lisbon or Porto

What you will do:

• Lead cross-functional projects within the financial domain, ensuring alignment with business strategy, compliance obligations, and technology architecture.

• Manage the full project lifecycle: scope definition, resource planning, timelines, risk assessment, reporting, and stakeholder communication.

• Ensure technical solutions meet financial, regulatory, and operational requirements.

• Oversee vendor and third‑party management, ensuring delivery quality and adherence to budget.

• Prepare status reports, executive updates, and steering committee materials.

• Identify and proactively mitigate risks, dependencies, and constraints.

• Promote continuous improvement in project governance and delivery models (agile/hybrid).

• Ensure compliance with regulatory, security, and industry standards.

What you are like:

• Background in areas related to finance, engineering, or technology.

• Minimum of 5 years of experience managing projects in the banking, finance, or fintech sectors.

• Proven experience in technology‑driven initiatives such as system integrations, digital banking solutions, data migrations, or core banking implementations.

• Strong technical acumen, capable of discussing architecture, APIs, integrations, and data models.

• Familiarity with Agile / Hybrid / PM² / PRINCE2 / PMP methodologies.

• Experience working with JIRA, Confluence, Azure DevOps or similar tools.

• Solid understanding of financial products, processes, and regulatory context.

• Nice to have: knowledge of core banking systems, payment systems, credit platforms, PSD2, data governance, reporting systems, or a technical background (Computer Science, Software Engineering, etc.).
