About the Role

We’re looking for an experienced Backend Software Developer with expertise in Golang to join a cutting-edge tech team in Manchester. This role will give you the chance to drive backend development for high-impact projects, optimize scalable systems, and directly influence product performance and user experience.

Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain backend services using Golang, ensuring high performance and scalability.
Collaborate with frontend developers, product teams, and other stakeholders to build seamless, efficient, and reliable applications.
Optimize backend systems for performance, monitoring, and security, with a focus on scalability.
Contribute to the full software development lifecycle, implementing best practices in code quality and testing.
Stay up-to-date with emerging trends and technologies in backend development and Golang.

Requirements

Proven experience in backend development with strong proficiency in Golang.
Familiarity with microservices architecture and API development.
Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and containerization tools (Docker, Kubernetes).
Solid understanding of database technologies (e.g., SQL, NoSQL).
Strong problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and a collaborative mindset.
Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively within a team.
