PHP Developer (Laravel) – Bury, Greater Manchester (BL9)

We’re looking for a mid-level PHP Developer (Laravel) to join our in-house engineering team, working with Laravel and SQL in a live production environment.

This is a hands-on development role where you’ll build and maintain internal web applications, working closely with a small, collaborative team to deliver features end to end.

Location & working pattern

  • Office-based in Bury (BL9) during probation
  • Hybrid working thereafter
  • Flexible working with core hours of 9:30am–2:00pm

Must-haves (non-negotiable)

  • Commercial experience with PHP & Laravel
  • Comfortable writing SQL queries
  • Experience working on production systems

The role

You’ll be building and maintaining web applications using PHP, Laravel, and relational databases, contributing to real systems used across the business.

This is a development role — not QA, support, or DevOps — with scope to take ownership, collaborate closely with stakeholders, and grow your skills within a supportive environment.

Additional information

  • UK-based candidates only
  • Applicants must already be able to commute to Bury
  • No relocation package or remote-first arrangement
