The Data Product Manager plays a vital role within the Global Wealth Management (GWM) Data Centre of Excellence (Data CoE). This role supports the end-to-end lifecycle management of data products. The Data Product Manager will collaborate with business analysts, technology partners, and data stewards to gather requirements, assist in product development, and ensure the delivery of high-quality data products that align with GWM's data strategy. This role is focused on the execution of the data product roadmap and contributes to fostering an insights-driven culture.

Is this role right for you? In this role you will:

  • Support the end-to-end data product lifecycle, from requirements gathering and design to development, user acceptance testing, and launch.
  • Assist in maintaining the data product backlog, writing user stories, and prioritizing features based on business value and user needs.
  • Ensure data products adhere to established data governance policies and quality standards.
  • Assist in the documentation of metadata, data lineage, and quality rules for data products.
  • Execute data quality checks and support the monitoring of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for data products, helping to identify and triage issues.
  • Work closely with business analysts and end-users to understand and document detailed data requirements.
  • Serve as a point of contact for project teams, helping to clarify requirements and facilitate communication between business and technology stakeholders.
  • Contribute to the development of data products by analyzing data, identifying patterns, and providing insights to the Senior Manager.
  • Support the team's use-case-based approach to growing data product capabilities by focusing on the detailed execution of the product roadmap.

Skills

Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role? – We’d love to work with you if you have:

  • Undergraduate degree in technology, commerce, or a related field
  • 3-5 years of experience in data analysis, business analysis, or a related role
  • Experience working in project teams that deliver data or technology solutions is required
  • Knowledge of the Wealth Management or Financial Services industry is a strong asset
  • Hands-on experience with SQL for data analysis is highly desirable
  • Familiarity with data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Looker) and Agile development methodologies are preferred
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • The ability to work effectively in a team and collaborate with both technical and business stakeholders
  • A self-starter with a strong desire to learn and a results-oriented mindset
  • Capable of managing multiple tasks and prioritizing effectively in a dynamic environment.
