Junior Full Stack Developer

We are seeking a skilled Junior Full Stack Developer to join our team and contribute to meaningful, mission-driven work for our customer.

The Junior Full Stack Software Developer collaborates with the Lead Engineer and other team members to build, test, and deliver complete software solutions within an Agile development environment. This role supports development across the full application stack, including user-facing interfaces, backend services, and data storage layers. The developer assists in converting functional requirements into technical solutions, creating and integrating RESTful APIs, and supporting connections with external systems and databases. Responsibilities also include participating in code reviews, supporting testing and deployment efforts, and helping maintain applications after release. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience or exposure to modern JavaScript frameworks, backend languages such as Python, and common web development technologies. Familiarity with cloud platforms and both relational and non-relational databases is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the Lead Engineer and development team to deliver end-to-end software solutions
• Contribute to front-end, back-end, and data-layer development
• Translate functional requirements into technical implementations
• Develop and integrate RESTful APIs
• Support integrations with external software systems and databases
• Participate in code reviews to ensure code quality and best practices
• Assist with testing, deployment, and release activities
• Help maintain and enhance deployed applications
• Support accessibility and compliance efforts, including Section 508 testing
  
  
  

Qualifications

• Front-end development using modern JavaScript frameworks
• Backend service development and RESTful API implementation
• Experience working with relational and non-relational databases
• Experience developing, deploying, and maintaining applications on cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure
• Familiarity with Agile and Scrum development methodologies
• Experience building and maintaining web applications using:
• React with TypeScript or comparable frameworks (e.g., Vue or Angular)
• Python or another modern backend language
• SQL and/or NoSQL databases
• AWS services such as Lambda, DynamoDB, RDS, and S3
• CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
• Automated testing frameworks and tools
