Proven Android Engineer with 3-6 years experience in native Android app development in aspects of the mobile SDLC life cycle taking ownership of the code from inception to production

What you'll do
As an Android Engineer building solutions that make a difference to Australians nationally. You will build robust and sustainable solutions that offer real value.
- Use best practices to deliver high quality code; Unit-test code for robustness including edge cases, usability, and general reliability
- Implement new features and optimise existing ones from draft to implementation and actively participate in all phases of the SDLC
- Work closely with, and incorporate feedback from, product management, UI designers, platform lead and other engineers on a tightly knit team cross-functional and agile team
- Contribute to a culture of automated testing
- Focus on continuous improvement of the product, developer tool sets and productivity
Proven Android Engineer with 3-6 years experience in native Android app development in aspects of the mobile SDLC life cycle taking ownership of the code from inception to production
- Deep knowledge and demonstrated capability of the Android SDK and Google’s Android design principles and interface guidelines in addition to Jetpack Compose
- Understanding of architecting complex Android solutions, experience in MVVM
- An appreciation of good API and GraphQL design in a mobile context in addition to writing & maintaining Unit tests and UI tests
- Strong experience with CI/CD, infrastructure as code, DevOps, automation
- Working knowledge of Zebra and RF Device in a enterprise environment would be great advantage.
- Solid experience in device push notifications and alerting functionalities.
- Mindset to work on full stack experience would be an added advantage
