Machine Learning Engineer (f/m)

Job Description:

Airbus Commercial Aircraft is looking for a Machine Learning Engineer to join our Artificial Intelligence for Systems Team (ARTIST) based in Toulouse, France or Hamburg, Germany.

You will join the Data Management & AI team within the Data-Driven Services & Aircraft Maintenance Community . Your primary focus will be on developing AI/Data Science technology bricks to make the link between model development and industrialization for the aircraft system design, with an initial assignment centered on embedded aircraft systems for computer vision applications (Cockpit).

Your challenges:

• D evelop software solutions for advanced AI targeting aircraft products and ways of working, with a focus on embedded systems for computer vision (Cockpit).
• Productionize: turn experimental code into production-ready pipelines optimized for embedded systems
• Ensure communication and alignment with internal and external stakeholders, including Programs, R&T, Engineering, and IT.
• Collaborate: Partner with Data Scientists and aircraft system engineers on model architecture and implementation
• Contribute to the vision and strategy for AI-based solutions and improvements for Aircraft Systems, Services, and Ways of Working.
• Coach students and engineers around AI applications, data-driven mindset, and agile ways of working.
  
  

Your boarding pass:

• Master degree in Data Science, Artificial Intelligence or equivalent.
• Minimum of 1 year experience in development of solutions based on Advanced Statistics, Machine Learning & Deep Learning methods, preferably around computer vision.

# Experience in industrialization and implementation of AI solutions in a production environment. Expertise in Machine Learning algorithms & tools linked to supervised, un supervised, and reinforcement learning. Knowledge and experience in computer vision applications is a big plus. # Experience with MLOps/DevOps methods and cloud infrastructure # Proficiency in development environments & programming languages like Python, PySpark, Linux Shell Scripting, and NoSQL databases.

• English Negotiation level
• Knowledge of French or German would be a plus.
