Founding Engineer

I'm working with an awesome SaaS startup based in Dublin. The are already successful and growing faster than you can blink!

They are on the lookout for an ambitious, energetic senior engineer to join their team as a Founding Engineer.

This is a rare opportunity to join at the ground floor of a fast-moving product already trusted by leading clients in their industry across Ireland, the UK, Europe, and the US.

The platform replaces legacy, manual processes with intelligent, scalable technology in a huge and under-served market.

As a Founding Engineer, you’ll design and build core product features end-to-end. You’ll develop scalable backend APIs, craft intuitive front-end experiences, and work closely with the founding team to shape both the product and engineering culture from day one.

What you’ll do

• Build and scale backend services (Node.js preferred)
• Develop modern web interfaces (Next.js or Nuxt)
• Design and optimise data models (PostgreSQL, search engines)
• Own features from idea to production
• Champion testing, security, and best engineering practices

What we’re looking for

• Full-stack experience in SaaS or high-growth environments
• Strong ownership mindset, curiosity, and bias for action
• Bonus: cloud infrastructure, Docker, or GenAI tooling experience
• Being sound is a huge plus!

What's on offer:

€80k-€90k base with generous equity

Ideally a few days./week in the Dublin office but remote work is available for the right candidate also
