MAIN OBJECTIVE OF ROLE
To perform, supervise, and certify scheduled maintenance tasks on aircraft, including C-checks, repairs, and major modifications, ensuring all work is safely carried out in accordance with approved maintenance data and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Reads and complies with the ISR policies of the Company and diligently reports any weakness or incidents to the respective Line Manager or the Information Security team. Completes all required ISR awareness sessions and follows associated guidelines in the day-to-day business operations.
To perform, supervise, and certify scheduled maintenance tasks on aircraft, including C-checks, repairs, and major modifications, ensuring all work is safely carried out in accordance with approved maintenance data and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Performs and certifies maintenance tasks within the scope of B1 (mechanical/airframe/powerplant) and/or B2 (avionics/electrical) license privileges under GCAA Part-145 or equivalent regulations.
- Carries out detailed inspections, structural repairs, system checks, and defect rectifications during scheduled base maintenance inputs.
- Works with aircraft maintenance documentation (AMM, SRM, IPC, WDM, wiring diagrams, etc.) to ensure accurate and compliant task execution.
- Supports major component removals/installations, cabin interior modifications, and special projects.
- Ensures that all documentation including work cards, technical logs books, defect rectification and modifications are correctly completed IAW company policy, process and procedure.
- Reports any issues affecting safety, quality, or performance to appropriate departments.
- Supervises aircraft movements, including towing, marshalling, refueling and engine ground runs.
- Supervises, guides and mentors mechanics ensuring all maintenance is carried out using the correct tools, equipment, and procedures as per the aircraft maintenance manual (AMM) and other approved documentation.
- Promotes the SMS and ensure a culture of safety, compliance, and continuous improvement within the maintenance team.
- Promotes teamwork and clear communication between shifts, departments, and support functions to ensure efficient workflow and minimal disruptions.
- Bachelor's Degree (3+ years)
- Bachelor's degree in Aircraft Maintenance Engineering
- Fluent in English
- Demonstrated experience in the maintenance of Boeing 787, 737NG and/or 737 MAX in a Line and/or Base Maintenance environment
- AMOS preferable
- Years with qualifications: 5 - 7 years
- Current CAR 66 B1 or B2 Aircraft Maintenance Engineers License (or FAA/ICAO equivalent) with ratings on the Boeing 787, 737NG and/or MAX aircraft
