Job Opportunity – IT Project Manager (Contract)
We are looking for an experienced IT Project Manager to join a leading international organization for an assignment. The IT Project Manager will be responsible for end-to-end delivery of IT projects, ensuring alignment with business strategy, priorities, and digital transformation objectives. The role involves collaboration with business functions, internal IT competence centers, and external vendors to deliver projects on scope, time, budget, and quality, while maintaining governance, security, and regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- End-to-End Project Delivery: Manage full project lifecycle from initiation to handover, including hypercare; ensure success criteria and milestones are met.
- Requirements Gathering & Scoping: Collect and validate business and functional requirements; translate them into clear project scope, objectives, and planning.
- Team Leadership & Stakeholder Engagement: Lead cross-functional teams, facilitate alignment across business and IT stakeholders.
- Methodology & Governance: Apply and improve project management methodology; ensure documentation completeness and audit readiness.
- Reporting & Governance: Provide status updates, report risks, and key decisions to steering committee and PMO.
- Financial & Risk Management: Manage project budgets (CAPEX/OPEX), track forecasts, and analyze variances; proactively handle risks and dependencies.
- Change Management & Adoption: Drive user readiness, training, UAT, cutover planning, and hypercare in collaboration with business change leads.
Project Context Requirements:
- Experience with Marketing & Sales (M&S) processes.
- Preferably experience with PIM (Product Information Management) systems or similar product data-driven platforms.
- Ability to quickly understand product data models, content flows, and related stakeholder processes.
Position Requirements:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s in IT, Business/IT, Engineering, or related fields.
- 2+ years managing IT projects in corporate environments, ideally across multiple business units or countries.
- Proven experience with Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid methodologies.
- Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
- Understanding of enterprise architecture, cybersecurity, and data privacy (e.g., GDPR).
- Budget management and financial acumen.
- Hands-on experience with project tools (e.g., Jira, MS Project, Teams).
- Fluent in English (written and spoken).
Availability & Location:
- Maximum 1 day per week on-site in Breda office; flexibility for European travel (mainly Switzerland and Germany) as project requires.
- Ability to work effectively with external vendors and internal departments.
- Comfortable stepping into ongoing projects and providing structure, coordination, and follow-through.
- Initial assignment expected for 3–6 months with possible extension.
- The client is looking to eventually establish a pool of pre-approved IT Project Managers for flexible engagement.
