Role Overview:

We are looking for a Release Manager to join one of our biggest clients in the Porto area (Hybrid). A multinational financial services firm, one of the largest financial groups and among the 30 largest financial institution’s globally.


You will work in an Agile environment and you will join a team that works with several tecnologies such as java, Angular, Spring, SQL, Shell & C++ process in a Unix environmen wtith a Big Data storage system (Hadoop).


Main Tasks & Responsibilities:

  • Ensure monitoring and management of application releases and coordination with IT Risks Business Analysts and Management team;
  • Infrastructure and Tools: Designs, implements, and maintains reliable infrastructures and tools for the development and deployment of applications, while configuring and monitoring production environments to ensure availability and performance;
  • Collaboration and Methodologies: Promotes a collaborative environment between development and operational teams throughout the application lifecycle, applying agile methodologies and engaging in continuous improvement processes;
  • Automation and Maintenance: Develops scripts to automate operational tasks, establishes CI/CD pipelines, and follows troubleshooting procedures to resolve issues, while staying updated on industry trends and best practices.


What you are like:

  • At least 3 years of experience in similar roles;
  • Solid experience in software development, CI/CD, TDD;
  • In-depth understanding of the application runtime environment (process, memory…);
  • Familiarity with DevOps concepts;
  • Development tools and environment: Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket, Maven, Jenkins, Artifactory, Docker, etc.
  • A real passion for learning, doing things better and helping others;
  • Comfortable with English (conversational level)
