We are looking for a Network Engineer (Fixed Core) to join one of our biggest clients, a leading company specialized in large-scale telecommunications solutions and next‑generation network services.

Location: Lisboa e Porto (hybrid)

What you will do:

• Capture, analyze, and refine business and technical requirements aligned with customer needs and project scope.

• Facilitate workshops with stakeholders to clarify requirements, prioritize needs, and identify gaps, assumptions, and dependencies.

• Perform functional and technical gap analysis and define solution features, configurations, and integrations.

• Produce and maintain Functional Design Documents, ensuring compliance with architecture, security, and performance standards.

• Define integration flows, API impacts, orchestration rules, and ensure stakeholder approval and traceability.

• Support development and testing teams by clarifying requirements and reviewing low‑level designs.

• Assist in solution transition, UAT phases, and warranty support.

• Contribute to pre‑sales activities by responding to functional sections of RFPs/RFIs when needed.

What you are like:

• Master’s/Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent.

• 3+ years of experience working in Fixed Core configuration with at least one major vendor (Cisco, Juniper, Huawei) and corresponding OSS solutions.

• Solid experience across FTTH, WDM, MPLS, IP Routing, DOCSIS, Firewalls, DPIs, SDN, and Switching.

• Understanding of operational procedures for network support and configuration.

• Knowledge of vendor data models and experience producing technical/functional design documentation.

• Strong communication skills for meetings and workshops with customers, architects, and development teams.

• Fluency in written and spoken English.

• Knowledge of RESTful APIs and scripting (Python or similar) is a strong plus.
