Job Description

Natixis in Portugal is currently seeking a Data Engineer to join its BPCE SI (BPCE Solutions Informatiques) team, within the IT (Information Technologies) department.

Responsibilities  

  • Creates and manages complex automated data pipelines from ingestion to analytics.
  • Keeps up with Data Engineering technologies and the latest trends on the topic in order to use these insights to implement new processes and initiatives in the organization.
  • Leads requirements gathering sessions with different stakeholders making sure they are properly translated.
  • Optimizes the performance of the data architecture and data processing pipelines and of data storage and retrieval, while finetuning data processing frameworks and implements caching and indexing strategies.
  • Identifies recurrent incidents and resolve the underlying root cause.
  • Support more junior engineers by sharing knowledge, providing technical guidance, and providing constructive feedback to foster a collaborative and inclusive environment that promotes learning and growth.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor or Master degree in Software Engineering, Information Systems or other superior education relevant to the function.
  • At least 4 years of experience as Data Engineer.
  • Knowledge on ETL, Data Warehousing and Data Modeling principles.
  • Experience interfacing directly with stakeholders and translate business requirements into technical tasks.
  • Solid knowledge of Power BI, proficiency in dashboards development with Power BI Tools.
  • Solid knowledge of T-SQL.
  • Experience working in an Agile environment.
  • Good written and spoken English level, at least a solid B2.
